Love 2 Fly Drone Works, aims to provide hope to animals and their families in Western North Carolina and beyond. Our mission is to offer aerial search services, utilizing state-of-the-art drone technologies equipped with thermal imaging capabilities, to help find and reunite lost pets and animals with their families and owners.

How Do Thermal Imaging Drones Work?
Thermal imaging cameras detect the heat signature emitted by animals, making them highly effective for locating lost animals in challenging terrains or areas with restricted visibility. In certain instances, the terrain’s difficulty can pose a risk to human access. Utilizing drones to search rough terrains, densely wooded areas, or even disaster-stricken regions can assist in pinpointing the location of the lost animal before deploying personnel into the area, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of the operation. Our drones in the air can swiftly scan extensive areas, increasing the likelihood of locating the lost animal within a timely timeframe. By collaborating with the thermal capabilities of our drones, the high-resolution visible cameras on the drone can capture images that facilitate tracking the animal's movements.
Bucky got lost and we were able to locate him within 20 minutes of takeoff. He was bedded down around 1000ft from the backside of his owner's property
Lost horse, gone for over 48 hours. We located the horse about 1400ft from the area she was lost from after about an hour searching in heavy woods. She was relaxed, taking a nap and munching on grass. We forwarded the location information onto the owner for rescue efforts.
What Areas Do You Cover And What Are Your Rates?
Due to the potential urgency of a search and scheduling, we currently will work within a 75 square mile radius of Columbus, NC, our home base. Needs outside a 75 mile square radius will be addressed on a case by case basis.
Our current standard rate is $150.00 per search up to 2 1/2 hours plus $1.50 per mile round trip from our home base of Columbus, NC. An additional $100.00 is due if and when we find the lost animal. For additional return searches of the same lost animal, we will work with the owner to determine a customized cost.

One of the most frequently asked questions we encounter is whether we can definitively locate the lost pet. While we would be delighted to assure everyone that we can guarantee the recovery of every lost animal we search for, the reality is that we cannot provide such a guarantee. Unfortunately, the outcome of a search operation is influenced by numerous variables, and we do our utmost to plan and anticipate potential obstacles to enhance the likelihood of success. During our initial communication with the owners of the lost animal, we will establish realistic expectations based on the complete facts and information available regarding the lost pet.
